Dental Specialists of Edmond is equipped with the latest advanced dental technology so our doctors can provide accurate diagnosis and effective, comfortable treatment.

We use a wide variety of high-tech equipment, including the following:

3D Cone Beam CT Scanner for Accurate Imaging and Diagnosis

We use our cone beam 3D CT scanner to obtain accurate, 360-degree images of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth and skull. Our doctors use the scans for diagnosis and treatment planning for dental implants and full-mouth rehabilitation, and, in some cases, for assessing if bone loss will interfere with the placement of a crown or bridge.

Digital X-Rays

We use digital X-rays to get an accurate view of your teeth and mouth. Digital X-ray machines emit 90% less radiation than traditional film X-ray machines, and the resulting images are immediately available.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays capture your entire mouth in one detailed image. This gives our doctors a good overview of the condition of your teeth and mouth, and helps with treatment planning for certain procedures.

Intraoral Scanner

The intraoral scanner digitally captures the structure of the teeth and gums using the latest optical technology. It collects detailed data comfortably for the patient.

Ultrasonic Scaler

Ultrasonic scalers are used during teeth cleanings to remove hardened deposits of plaque and bacteria from the surfaces of your teeth (a process known as “scaling”). Ultrasonic scalers have a special tip that vibrates at ultrasonic frequencies, and this breaks up the hardened deposits, making it easier to remove them. The vibrating actions also create a shockwave that destroys the cell membranes of the bacteria in the plaque, effectively killing them.
